Lynmar Health Management, Inc. administers tests that include US FDA Emergency Use Authorized (EUA) testing for Point of Care (POC) settings. Testing includes the convenience of fingerstick blood samples or non-invasive nasal swab samples. Plus, ask for our “Self-Certification” return to work document.
Technology & Process Description
On-Site Testing for Active SARS-CoV-2 Virus $79.00
Antigen rapid technology works by looking for a virus’s proteins. This test identifies an active SARS-CoV-2 Virus which causes Covid-19. Antigen test results are delivered in a few minutes somewhat like a flu test result you might get in a doctor office. The Antigen test uses a nasal swab to administer the test and is usually given to patients as “on-site-results”. Same day results for this test and is less expensive to administer.
On-Site Testing for Antibodies $59.00
Serological (Fingerstick Blood Sample) is for detection of antibodies also known as IgM and IgG. This test detects antibodies in the blood that are produced in response to the Coronavirus infection. Detection of an acute infection phase, as determined by the level of IgM antibodies, helps determine if a person may still be infectious and could possibly transmit the infection to other people. Further along in the infection progression, the body typically starts to produce IgG antibodies, which increase while the IgM levels decrease until eventually only IgG antibodies are present, demonstrating prior infection without the ability to transmit the virus. This test is also a “point-of-care” type test and results are available in a few minutes.
Test Sample Sent to Lab for Active SARSoCoV-2 Virus $129.00
Molecular tests like the PCR, (polymerase chain reaction) test has been most common from the start of the pandemic. The PCR lab test will detect the SARS-CoV-2 Virus which causes Covid-19. The nasal swab sample is taken to the lab for processing and can take a couple days for results. This technology is more expensive to administer.
